NES Message Board Instructions

Welcome to the NES message boards.  Posting is quick and easy if you follow a few simple steps.  You need to register a name to post.

How to Register a Profile

You cannot use a name that is already registered.  Click this link to view registered names.

1. Click this link - Remove NES Cookies.  You will be brought back to this page after clicking the link.

2. Click this link Create Profile and fill in the form, clicking "Save Profile" when done.

3. Your password will be emailed within 20 minutes of registering.  If you don't receive an email, contact the webmaster.  

4. Enter your password the first time you post.  Type in capital letters if your password contains capital letters.  Click the "Save Password" circle when you post. 

Editing your Profile After you Have Registered

1. You can edit your profile by clicking the "Edit Profile" link at the top of the message boards. 

2. TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD:
   Enter your existing password in the "Password" box.   Then enter the new password you want 2 times in the "New Password" boxes. YOU MUST COMPLETE ALL THREE BOXES OR YOUR PASSWORD WILL NOT CHANGE.

Other Functions

1. Use the Set Preferences link on each of the boards to set preferences for you (anything you change will not effect other board users).  You can change the way the messages are displayed in case you are used to a different way of looking at message boards posts.  The default for each board is the "Mixed Threaded Listing" method, but feel free to experiment.

2. You can upload images (as long as they are less than 20kb in file size).

3. You can delete your own posts if you later decide that you shouldn't have posted what you did.  This sometimes leaves a remnant of the post, but deletes all the text within the post and the title of the post.

4. You can use avatars (smiley faces) by typing characters like below:
   ;-)
   :)
   8)
   :-D
   etc
