My daughter shot her first deer during youth weekend. She dropped it in its tracks at 83 yards with a 1 ounce slug from a 12 gauge shotgun. The gun has a modified compression stock from Blackhawk tactical that reduces recoil by about 60%.
I was very impressed with her patience under pressure. She has shot over 600 rounds with her scoped .22 so I know how deadly accurate she is when things are normal. I was so proud to see that her accuracy was equally as impressive with her very first deer standing in front of her. She had to wait about 15-20 minutes for the deer to come into range and stand broadside. She nailed it with that one shot and double lunged it missing all the other organs. What an easy deer to clean!
72lb button buck.
I'm one proud papa! And she is one proud Hunter!
