After many miles walked finally put down a buck. better Pics to follow soon This pic is not very good sorry Should be a 9 pter but it is broken off so I will call him a 8. He wieghted 155 lbs shot with omega 300 gr hornady sst.
Sorry it took so long guys to update the pics with story.
My father and I had been hunting all morning with out seing a deer. We decided to break for lunch. After lunch we hit a small piece of wood that usually has a couple of does in it and dad had a doe tag to fill. He jumped this buck out of a thicket about 30 yards away from dad. It was to thick he could not get a shot. This deer ran by me at about 50 yrds I got one glimpse of him saw he had horns and he disappeares into the thick pines. I ran up on a little knoll and holy crap he is running right at me. The sun was behind him All I cuold see was bright white bone on his head. But I kept my cool got the bead of my omega on him at 25 yrds pulled the trigger . perfect heart shot. The rest is history another for the wall.
On thursady my Dad got a 120 lb doe out of the same piece.
